    Restaurant Review: room81

by Hannah Smith March 24, 2019
    March 24, 2019

I decided to take my partner to a fine-dining restaurant for his birthday recently. Anyone that knows Josh, would know that he’s a birthday-month kind of man and he loves to celebrate BIG. I decided to spoil him (and myself)…

There is no day of the week called “Someday”

by Hannah Smith March 7, 2019
    March 7, 2019

There is no day of the week called “Someday” Dr Phil told me that, by way of the chat he had on the Joe Rogan Experience this week. It was like someone – no wait – it felt like Dr…

    My fitness reboot wrap-up

by Hannah Smith July 27, 2018
    July 27, 2018

I can’t believe we made it (sing like Beyonce in Apeshit). It’s Day 18. This is the reboot wrap-up post guys. I made it, and I can actually write it knowing that I gave it a bloody good crack. First…

FYI: You’re allowed to have anxiety and enjoy your life

by Hannah Smith June 14, 2018
    June 14, 2018

Some days I worry that I talk and write about my anxiety too much. Ha. Imagine that. Me getting worried about something. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ My dad from time-to-time has said to me, my mum and anyone else who’s been overreacting that we’re…

Sometimes life makes you vomit up your internal organs

by Hannah Smith May 1, 2018
    May 1, 2018

Ever had the dilemma of vomiting and shitting simultaneously? It’s a fun time. The letter from the hospital to my GP officially said gastroenteritis. My doctor at the ED said there was no real way to be certain exactly what…

There were maggots in my kitchen

by Hannah Smith February 11, 2018
    February 11, 2018

Yes, you read that correctly. Sunday did not quite end how I planned (with a cup of tea prior to a power nap in the air-con). I went to prepare overnight oats and instead I found maggots and weird moths…

The Chronicles of JosHan: the getting there bit

by Hannah Smith November 5, 2017
    November 5, 2017

Foreword: The Chronicles of JosHan (pronounced josh-in, as in “I’m just joshin”; combination of Josh and Han; clever play on words by all accounts. Zero fucks given on your opinion on this word fusion, unless it’s a positive one in which case…

Writer’s block: when your imaginary friends won’t talk to you

by Hannah Smith October 10, 2017
    October 10, 2017

Writer’s block can EAD. I’ve been stuck in a rut with my writing (with lots of things actually, but let’s stick with writing for the sake of everyone’s sanity). I’ve had several people ask me when my next blog post…

This photo was taken almost four years ago when I This photo was taken almost four years ago when I was brainstorming/plotting/planning my first novel. Josh came in and said he wanted to take a snap so I could look back and remember how far I’d come with my writing.

Some days I think about how I’m not where I want to be, but when I look at photos like this, I remember I reached that goal. I’ve published a book. My sequel is currently with beta readers and my third book is already half written.

Sometimes looking back is a good thing. So are Sons of Anarchy pants straight from #tarinkowt 🖤
