Never judge an entrepreneur by their cover

by Hannah Smith June 13, 2019
    June 13, 2019

I went to an Entrepreneur Summit a couple of months ago. If you’re anything like me, you screwed your face up at the very mention of the word ‘entrepreneur’. I think I have come to loathe that word because it…

by Hannah Smith May 29, 2019
    May 29, 2019

If you’re anything like me, the term ‘cancel culture’ is a relatively new phrase to you. After a bit of research, I’ve realised that whilst I may be new to the official term, it has something that has existed and…

I got a taste of the internet and she was kinda scary

by Hannah Smith May 19, 2019
    May 19, 2019

It’s been an interesting couple of days. Whilst I understand talking about the “a” word again risks inflaming exhausted discussion and more debate, I feel I have to address what ensued after I posted my In the news: Alabama abortion…

In the news: Alabama abortion debate

by Hannah Smith May 17, 2019
    May 17, 2019

I don’t usually write about this sort of stuff. And by “this sort of stuff” I mean: current news and events, important and relevant topics, causes and movements that matter to so many or topics that polarise people. I generally…

    May 9, 2019

‘Twas the night before my 30th birthday and all through the house … Not a creature was stirring, not even my anxiety. I can’t believe it. I’ve reached the birthday that so many seem to dread, the birthday that so…

If you’re addicted to social media clap your hands

    March 31, 2019

I’m addicted to social media and I know it. *clap clap* Those of you who don’t use social media may not care so much about this topic. My dad might read this and wonder what’s happened to my generation and…

by Hannah Smith March 7, 2019

There is no day of the week called “Someday” Dr Phil told me that, by way of the chat he had on the Joe Rogan Experience this week. It was like someone – no wait – it felt like Dr…

It’s okay to have a ‘bleh’ day

by Hannah Smith February 14, 2019
    February 14, 2019

It’s been an anxiety-riddled kinda day today. I woke up grumpy with sore muscles and crusty eyes. I was cross at everything. I wanted to train legs at the gym, but not enough to get my ass out of bed.…

Man, it’s hard being a woman

by Hannah Smith February 6, 2019
    February 6, 2019

Some of us ladies can be high maintenance. I”m not apologising for it either. Us females have to do a whole lotta shizzle to feel good by society’s standards. As I type this, I have three … make that five, separate pimple…

For anyone going through a a difficult time right For anyone going through a a difficult time right now, whether it be a rough patch, a life-changing experience, a plateau … anything. May this be a reminder that you are capable of amazing things, and it’s okay if things don’t always go to plan. It’s okay if things get put on hold.

Life will throw all sorts of things our way. If you have to take a break from the work right now, don’t worry. It’ll be here when you get back. Take care of yourself first💫

My partner reminded me last night that it’d been My partner reminded me last night that it’d been a year since Hazy Love was released.

A whole year.

Reminiscing brought on a lot of feelings that I’m still processing, hence the late post. I’m proud of what I’ve achieved, but disappointed that my second book is still not out. Being a slow writer leads to a constant battle of emotions and I’m still figuring out how to not beat myself up.

At the end of the day, despite the struggles, I’m grateful. Thank you to every single person who’s shared, liked, bought, borrowed and reviewed my debut novel. It means more than you know✨
